UMass Amherst class of 2015 |
Hello Everyone!
I’ve had a busy 10 days with 3 appointments and a change of treatments. My CT scan showed my disease had progressed as the lesions had “puffed up” as my oncologist, Dr. Chi illustrated. Dr. Chi has taken me off the pill Tarceva and has me back on a new chemo-therapy (Gemzar). I will have my chemo treatments once a week along with weekly blood work to check my white blood cell counts.
I have been feeling better as the Tarceva leaves my body and I now wait for the side effects of my new treatments. The weather is starting to change as spring arrives in New England and I try to enjoy those awesome windows of warm, sunny days with my feeling good days!
Jake has made his decision to attend the University of Massachusetts in Amherst . He has been burning the figurative candle at both ends with; book studying, volleyball, girlfriend time, guy friend time all mixed with little sleep. So, Jake has a sinus infection and is now on antibiotics mixed with rest, good food and some nice warm relaxing baths.
Thanks all for checking in periodically as I really appreciate your comments!
I am living and thinking positively!
With much love,

Dear Brenda,
How glorious is springtime! I'm sure the warmer weather will make you feel better, it was a long winter. I think of you often and pray for you. There is no explaining why there is so much suffering in life. I send my warmest regards.
